This project for Kier Construction, completed in May 2015, was the refurbishment of Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings to be used as the European Training Headquarters for EDF Energy. The Walled Gardens of the existing grounds are famous, and visited by many people. So great emphasis was to be placed on the quality of the planting and other landscaping, this was the reason Kier approached Elmtree to undertake the works. The project was very challenging due to the very limited space and tight timescales. Also, very high standards of safety were demanded by EDF and Kier. It was a great success for Elmtree, and we had much praise from the Client for the way in which we handled the challenging timescales, as well as the quality of our work.
